Many thanks for your reply. I was a bit vague with the details I posted.
Actually, it also directories I am concerned with and they are not
date-stamped, are they?
If I just name the directories with the actual month names they are
sorted in alphabetical order, of course. To place them in the correct
monthly order, I name them: A.January
B.February
C.March
or: 1.January
2.February
3.March
I thought there may be a neater and less messy way to place the months
in their correct order.
